Just read Dane Murphy piece on the implications of covid -19 on Barnsley F Cs financial future. So out of interest in went on Newsnow Sheff Wed, then Birmingham City then Derby to see if these FFP clubs were in a similar situation. To my surprise not a word about financial problems at all and all articles football related including possible signings and contract extensions etc. It can't just be Barnsley FC being concerned about their future surely.
I didn't read it and think that, probably the standard line most clubs are going with and we've got a head start on them
Actually think we may be in a better position than a lot of clubs in this league - one or two were teetering on the edge
I think this might give us a good shout at being a top flight club again. It might be a case of having to go backwards again to come forwards. However, I think we'll come out smelling of roses here.
Wish I could think that. Wednesday have been in the doldrums for years but they'll get in the championship next season and we bay well not be,
Football is going to have to change in the long run. Other clubs will have to be more prudent and that's where we step in and pick up the pieces. There will be players out there willing to take any contract they can get their hands on after this.
