Herbie Kane, effort, heart and quality. I hope he stays long enough.

Bold words them. He’s doing ok this season, but when I think about what ‘Barnsley legend’ means in terms of past players, he’s probably the first to admit he’s still some way off that.

Legend? He’s had a couple of adequate games in a row.

He’s spent a lot of this season running through treacle and getting a nosebleed if he tried to pass the ball forwards.

He is decent at this level I’ll grant you but he will not make the grade at the next level up and he will not be a BFC legend.

He’s not in the same league as Luca Connell for example, though he also won’t be a BFC legend as I doubt he’ll be here more than a couple of years. If we’re lucky.

I don’t see it. Slow doesn’t impact the game to the level his ability would suggest. I can’t see HK playing much above where we are now. Top 6 L1 / championship bottom 3.

    Connell would have more potential

Connell for me too. Andersen definitely an icon, depending on how long he stays. In my opinion :)

That seems to be belittling the legends we hold so dear.

Connell will be a Premier League player. Can do it all.

The op is only ‘suggesting’ that Kane could be a legend, not that he is already one

Connell is our best midfielder by some distance. Although he’s destined for better things I’m not sure he’d cut it at Prem level. The one thing he lacks is a yard of pace.

Not our player but ....Thomas definitely my fav defender. I watched him closely against Morcombe and could see him organising Williams, Mads, the rest, shouting , encouraging, pointing where they should be. Very good defender with decent distribution, fits like a glove in our defence. Would love to buy him.
Oh and Kane has done well of late but Connell the better of the two imho.

Jordan Williams is the greatest player of all time.

Bobby Thomas on a permanent deal should be our number one transfer target this summer from what I've seen so far.

If we don't go up, we'll need to look to sell Kane. He's going into the last year of his contract next season, and I suspect it will be a decent wage he's on (signed in the Championship, from Liverpool). I'd like to see him stay though, people raving about Connell, and he's a very good player. But he's probably already eyeing up his step up and we'll do well to keep him next year. Hopefully we get a good fee that helps us build a competitive team.

I can't see him being in Burnley's squad in the Premier League.
