Tickets for their supporters have gone on genreal sale today with only 800 tickets left. Surely will sell out http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/10/new...neral-public-head-5500-sell-newcastle-united/
They will probably ask for half the west stand and sell that out too, which would be quite an achievement for a night game.
Why would we not? A few more thousand at the prices we are charging and they would be sat in seats we'd not sell anyway and we've done it before. Night game a few hours away in a league they don't expect to be in and we aren't a derby for them probably just "little Barnsley" to most if they don't sell another ticket it's still a good following.
Looks to me like we plan on giving them west stand. Their Facey page posted an article earlier about the game encouraging fans to purchase early so they can service demand with us for tickets. Sounds like get your fans to buy ASAP and we will sort you more. No need for them to service demand with us for tickets they already have at their side.
We should do similar, to see if we can fill it with our own fans, although I'm not sure it would be a good idea. We already cover some of the seats at the far end of the East Stand to keep some distance between the two. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Not for a while, we stopped doing it. Weds have only had the North in recent visits, although the last two they failed to sell out. With the crowds we have been getting at home we have a chance of putting it on sale to the home supporters.
Looking forward to this one. I'm all for giving them the far end of the West Stand. If we can hit 14k home fans, we're looking at a cracking atmosphere under the lights, in a game that we realistically have a chance of getting something from permitting we turn up. I could see us selling that part of the ground to home fans, but not selling it out like Newcastle probably will if we give it to them. We've had so many seasons of many clubs bringing a few hundred or a sub thousand following that we should be milking this opportunity for all it's worth.
We've had over 12,000 home fans for the last 3 home games, the home sections with half of the West holds less than 14k, we'll be needing it ourselves. This is the biggest game of the season. It must be, if l can be arsed to go.
I agree. If it's a choice between Newcastle definitely selling out half of the West Stand, and us possibly having a few fans in there, then give them the tickets by all means. No point in us bemoaning not being as well heeled as some of the other clubs then not taking advantage of a money making opportunity. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
If they want the West, give it 'em. More multiples of £32 or whatever it is. Reet canny, like, marra.
Newcastle have sold the away end out. Wonder if the will ask for half the west stand plenty of time to sell tickets.
