It’s quite good isn’t it ? Catchy tune from 80’s released a couple of years after Blue Monday by Yello
It just intrigues me the amount of money these big brands spend on tv advertising. Do they employ Advertising Agency’s or actually have their own people ? I have no idea but we’re obviously talking big bucks so they must be productive
Yes. And if I hear that ad again in which some wierdo says "and Colin, the good biscuits" I'm going to self harm.
I dont understand why companies spend so much on advertising on the telly now. Its all Internet and influences and YouTube where the vast majority of audience is. Even so, alot of folk who watch TV us the ad breaks and just pause it, mute it or make a brew etc.
I haven’t watched a programme with adverts live for years. Anything on a commercial channel that I want to see is recorded on my Virgin box. Most ad breaks are between 4 and 5 minutes so I simply hit the jump 30 seconds button 8 times, or 10, and I’m instantly at the next part of the programme. Easy to avoid them.
No we put everything on the planner and wind on all adverts. If it's live TV like a Football game you switch channel for four minutes.
They used my Mrs’ old office in London to film that ad. Diageo moved out late last year and McDonalds filmed it the week after.
That’s my point Tyke, no one admits to watching adverts but we all recognise which ones are which so they must register with us by constant bombardment ! Best ad in my opinion was the gorilla on the drums for the Phil Collins tune
I do understand your point (I haven't actually seen this new Mcd's ad I don't think), but perhaps that's just because we all know McDonald's anyway? So like it's registered? I remember that one with the gorilla, I liked it too. Other adverts I remember are Coca-Cola light up lorry ones & the john lewis christmas ad. But I can't think of any advert recently and it's stuck, especially where it's tempted me to buy something, certainly if it's a lesser known brand. I think doing it online they'd be much better off for much cheaper the price
Makes sense but big firms seem to do it on telly because competitors do it on telly … if you know what I mean
But how they station their ads means they at least always on the right track and its a good platform to have and if you're a fan you would be chuffed to bits
Just to clarify things. IMO this is the greatest advert ever. What happened to the combover? Did it die with Spot Avery from Holgate?
