An oxmoron if ever there was one It seems the government is planning to introduce a new petrol containing more bioethanol called E10 next year the current standard unleaded currently contains 5% It is lower octane so your car performance will suffer slightly and your mpg will increase slightly - I hope the saving in C02 outweighs the MPG penalty. If you are driving an older petrol engined car - (more than 10 years old) you might have a problem to use it https://www.goodwood.com/grr/road/n...-fuel-why-the-new-fuel-might-damage-your-car/ For a list of affected cars there is a list that should appy in the UK as we were part of the EU when it was produced https://www.acea.be/publications/article/e10-petrol-fuel-vehicle-compatibility-list
Doesnt affect me as I am driving one of those horrid Diesels (though its a Euro 6 so not too bad) My Mrs may have a problem with her 17 year old Mazda 6 though - looks like its the model too early
