We seem to have quite a lot of fans who, after a good/bad performance have us down for one or other of these leagues. Neither is true. I was at the game today and to put it simply we came up against a team who were much better than we were - all over the pitch. I'm not even sure they got out of third gear. So what! They only missed the Premier by a hairs breath so a bit of perspective wouldn't go amiss. When they don't have the ball they press hard, so there's little space. When they have it, it's moved quickly and effectively. Their interplay around the penalty box is exceptional and in Knockeart they have the best player I've seen this season. Playing Cole against him looked like a choice forced on Hecky, though to be fair to the lad, he got better as the game went on. We couldn't support the strikers because they rarely let us up the pitch. The criticism of Winnal and Hamell is, in my view, a tad unfair. They didn't have great games but then, aside from Kent - no-one did. This team don't lack character. Even when they aren't playing particularly well (individually or collectively) they still want the ball- they are still trying to make things happen. Let's get over it. The Villa game comes quick. We can pick it back up.
Good call and safe journey home . Sometimes has much as it hurts we have to hold our hands up and just crack on .
