    Just goes to show that players do read some of the drivel posted about them online, doesn’t it? Didn’t tag Thomas, didn’t link it to him at all, but he found it. People need to be more careful about the ***** they spew on here and twitter.

    Not only that but I would hazard a guess that the club does it at least in part FOR the good publicity that it creates.

    Not a criticism by the way but we all know that these gestures by the club to people mainly on twitter are done in order to generate good PR and a connection. And you can't fault them for that. Nobody loses out, the club gets good PR and a fan gets treated to something or in past situations gets valuable help when it's been needed.

    To be fair the screenshot isn't exactly telling the whole story there. The same person also tweeted Thomas saying it's their birthday on Tuesday so he most likely would have seen it as it was a rely to him. (Just to clarify he wasn't asking for free tickets, he told Thomas to get a goal for him on his birthday)

    Still great gesture though and your point still stands. The way I see it is that we know players have accounts on twitter so don't use Twitter to make them feel crap.
