    Only means we’ll get a fee for him rather than him leaving on a free transfer. I’d love to see him stay but can’t see him wanting to play league 1 again, if we do indeed go down.

    Pointless getting attached to players these days. Couple of seasons, tops, for anyone worthwhile. Enjoy them while they're here, but learn to let go.

    All he has to do now is turn down a contract offer (which he inevitably will, as he's too good for League One) and we have a stated public policy, per Paul Conway, of selling him before it ends.

    There'll be a queue of clubs offering a cut-priced deal for him, so he'll be gone before the new season kicks off, just like with Pinnock last season.
