When you're playing a tactic where some players won't be comfortable in doing what they are required and it needs a lot of composure, throw into the mix our squad is the youngest in the league, AND THEN throw in 10k Yorkshiremen screaming at you to get rid of it...you can see why they might prefer playing in a training session type atmosphere.
It’s almost like the ten thousand home fans don’t recognise limits on a player’s ability and acting under pressure from an opponent.....
His current contract ended at end of this season Club have taken out its option of additional year. These contract talks were to make it longer than the additional year
Yeah because it has been the fans fault that Andersen kicks it to their players every time he plays it out from the back.
If contract talks have been paused with him then I think we're making a mistake. If we go down (and let's face it that's the most likely outcome) then he'll be less likely to agree to an extension because a) he wants to play in the Championship, b) our ability to pay him enough to stay will be reduced and c) championship clubs will be in a much better position to pay him more. Given our stance on not allowing players to run down their contract then the likelihood is that he'll leave for the best offer we think we can get. On the other hand, right now there's so much uncertainty about what division we'll be in next year, clubs ability to afford purchases, what future salary levels will be etc that it's just possible that if we offered him a contract he'd accept it for a bit of security and certainty.
