Are there any who haven't played top tier football? Just thinking that they have female pundits on there but they wouldn't have a Conference player on, even though the Conference is a far higher standard than women's football at any level.
I'm asking why men's opinions aren't relevant if they haven't played in the top tier but women's are.
So Women who have played at international level should be considered below conference level. Hmmm I tend to record MOTD so skip the wafle but the little I’ve seen I’d rather have Alex Scott than Alan Shearer that’s for sure
At the risk of sounding sexist, I freely admit I don't like most women football commentators or pundits. I do like Gabby Logan as a presenter. She does the job really well. Tanya Arnold as well. Very knowledgeable. Alex Scott? Not for me. Always looks star struck in the studio with the ex pros, and I'm not sure her male counterparts are totally comfortable with her. Also the female commentator. Must be the high voice I can't get used to. Reminds me of us as kids playing Subuteo and doing our own commentary.
And yet the premier league was also won by a few managers who were sh@te footballers too, crazy world huh? Gaza was the most gifted English footballer I’ve seen. but his opinion on motd? No thanks.
Doesn't matter who they are. If they talk ******** they should be kicked off. If they talk intelligently they should stay on. I wonder how the recruitment process is decided though. Perhaps that's Conan's point...?
Just found this re Alex Scott https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ott-sexist-female-pundits-twitter-attack/amp/
Who was a better player jemain Jenus or Alan Shearer? Jenus has more to say in 5 mins then Alan can ever say if he was on forever.
I think back to how bad Leon Knight was for us. He would still be better than all female players. By some distance.
He also played for Forest, scored a good goal at oakwell, I was there. Played 21 times for England, few less than shearer I reckon. Not as good a player, out of sight in terms of insight though.
