Been following it for a while, same bloke that allowed Worcester Warriors to go under

I remember when Tyson Fury was blowing hot air about buying them. Now might be the time if he's that bothered.

 

So he sent a rugby club under but was allowed to take over at Morecambe. If that's the case then the footballing authorises have a lot to answer for. Not fit for purpose.

 

Absolute Shithouse of an owner, done the same with Worcester Warriers Rugby, the Panjab Warriers who are hoping to buy have already given him/the club 6 milllion, he is basically a crook but.....the FA can do little about it but there is this new law come in this week, but pf=robably too late for MFC, far too complicated for me to go into here but for anyone interested pleae look at Shrimps Voices site..........and we think we have poor owners.....

 

He actually took over MFC before the WW saga

 

Unfortunately TF has always distanced himself from any take over, simply just not interested...although he boought the former gymn and training pitches when the previous owner let that land be repossesd

 

He's said there's no reason for him to fight again. Another purse would help if he loves em that much. Apparantly estimated net worth of £140-£180 million as it is.

While Tyson Fury has expressed interest in buying Morecambe Football Club in the past, there is no indication that he has finalized a deal to purchase the club. He has previously sponsored the club's shorts and training facilities through the Tyson Fury Foundation,

 

Suspended from the league for 3 weeks. Till Aug 20th. Then reviewed again, and thrown out of the national league cup.

"The committee will meet again on Wednesday, August 20 to determine if outstanding items have been satisfied, and to decide the club's ability to retain membership in the competition."

 

And now they're 'not responding'. Sounds like a case of hide and Sikh.

 

Its a disgrace isn't it, and while I'm sure they don't want sympathy etc.
I do feel sorry for them, and I hope things can and will be sorted out, soon!.

A few reporting that sadly the deadline to find a buyer has passed and the club will fold.

 

Terrible if true. Feel for the fans and the town as a whole. Went when we played up there a couple of years ago and it was a great little set up.

 

Away at Morecambe was the last game I saw before my mother passed away. She told us to get off to it despite not really wanting to. Losing 1-0 didn't matter.

A great little set up they have. The pub over the road by the holiday site was really warm and friendly. T20 Cricket World Cup on one big screen and the early PL kick off on the other.
