I'm saying this in all seriousness, and please feel free to bookmark this post. If he remains with the club this summer, we will end up in a relegation battle next season. The standard of players and style of play he's brought in have been absolutely appalling. This is a proud club, one with the most seasons in the second tier out of all other football clubs. To have us likely finishing bottom half in League 1 is a disgrace. It will not get better with Sormaz pulling the strings. Please Neerav, for the love of God, get rid of this fraud.
I’d perhaps have some time for the argument of we don’t have much money so we’ve bought what we can - however we have wasted so much money on players no better than we already have, in fact we have spent money on players who are actually worse in their supposed position than other players already at the club who don’t play in the position we have recruited for. Head coaches are choosing to play existing players out of position than the players we have specifically recruited for those positions. Awful performance by those tasked with the job.
Agreed. The blame lies firmly at his door. The January recruitment was utterly laughable. He is responsible for taking a team more or less guaranteed a play off place, into a team resembling relegation candidates. The signings of Lembisika (who I struggle to acknowledge as a pro) and Rodrigues were just panic signings by someone well out of his depth. And sticking to a system that has cost us over 70 goals is just unthinkable. He has to go.
The hard truth is we were play off certainties with less than half a season to play when he took the job. Just 18 months later, we'll finish bottom half on relegation form, fearful we'll be relegation fodder next year. In his interview, he says the 'game model' has been there all along but now is the time to really embed it. It doesn't reflect well.
The board have a very big decision to make there's clearly a very big rebuild. Do they trust him to spend their money wisely I'm sure I wouldn't. The system thing the change to 433 hasn't brought much improvement to be fair.
One member of staff has already lost his job as a result of his incompetence. How is it that the Manager has to leave yet he not responsible?
Some people felt he should be given longer when discussing this a couple of months ago. Do they still feel the same?
No I agree but it's not our decision,my point is they are the ones paying financially for his incompetence. Two head coaches have paid the price for failure makes you wonder what they see in Mladen that rule doesn't apply.
Conor singing Mladens praises doesn't bode well either. I think we're going to be in for a summer of contradiction and ******** aplenty.
Been saying it since September last year, out of his depth, has been tasked with running the football operation at the club from top to bottom, he isn't the right fit. We can sit here and argue over budgets etc, yes he has a tight budget I understand, but clubs with less resource are doing better. There's far too much data input into the club and not enough practicality. I've heard a few things regarding his involvement and some of it hasn't been positive, recruitment has been horrendous, the coaching methodology and game model implemented has been a failure. 8 home wins in 32 attempts that's almost 1.5 seasons over 4 head coaches. It looks like some autonomy is going back to the head coach role and not before time, but the best thing Neerav can do is get rid of Mladen, Conor needs support from someone who knows the football side, a shrewd operator and goof negotiator, Mladen isn't any of these, a good mathematician in the wrong trade.
I know this is like bairnin' about that orange ¢uπt Trump - it won't make a blind bit of difference - but until Sormaz goes, I'll not be renewing for next season. He might have pulled the wool over Neerav's eyes, but not mine. A data analyst so far out of his depth, even the RNLI have chalked fu¢k on a rescue.
