I'm not sure about the above, but Oxford have been experimenting jointly with the Russians about a mix with their Sputnik vaccine...early indications were encouraging.

The NY times headline is very misleading. A mix and match option hasn’t been ‘opted for’. As the second link in the OP spells out.

The fact that Sputnik hasn’t been given the ok (yet) they’re talking about the two that are, which are completely different in the way that they work.

The CDA have said under no circumstances should it happen, and now the PHE have said the same. Yet our government have gone against scientific advice and suggested they could.

    No it doesn’t.

The government have told medics to use another vaccine if the original one isn’t available. PHE have said this shouldn’t happen and they are against it.

Sputnik is a similar vaccine to the AstraZeneca one so may work. The Pfizer one is completely different.

I once drunk every scrap of old cough mixture we had in the bathroom cupboard was ok till I had the buttercup syrup and spent the rest of the day convinced there was a yellow reflection on under side of my chin and telling everyone I liked butter, do not think it is good to mix anything only 3 parts sand to 1 part cement
