Thought schmidt did okay without the ball today in his very limited time. As for Miller... he really is not good enough.
Agree with this. Thought Schmidt showed some nice touches and unselfishly slipped Chaplin in. Worked quite hard too, maybe why he was put on the right (so Val could bark orders at him!)
Him and Collins remind me of twins sitting in the back of a hay cart being pulled in a field by a tractor
Thats the most energetic I have seen Schmidt but he hadn`t a clue what to do with the ball when he got it late on.
Thought he should have driven forward and had a go, instead of jogging towards it and slipping Chaplin in'
It’s that old problem of decision making isn’t it. He passes when he should shoot and shoots when he should pass. Let’s not forget that he has scored some vital goals for us so maybe he just needs more work. Miller on the other hand......
Thought Schmidt did the right thing when he held up a defender and played Chaplin in. All about opinions I guess. Mine are rarely correct in all honesty
I think with the high press we had been playing all game, it was only inevitable that we were eventually going to change the entire front 3. We do need better options from the bench in that respect though. Val wants another striker, so if we were to replace a front 3 of Woodrow, Morris and A N Other in the 2nd half with big Vic, Chaplin and Frieser, things wouldn't be too bad. Another frustration I have is that a lot of our better chances seem to fall to Frieser and Chaplin, and neither seem composed enough to finish them off. I often feel that had Woodrow managed to get into some of the positions they do, he'd be on 20 goals already this season.
