Was very unlucky not to go to the Euros in my opinion. Very versatile player that can play in lots of positions. Didn't he play up front for Wednesday? But often plays as full back for West Ham. Sets up a fair few goals as well. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
He's yet to prove he's consistent enough not done it in the Prem yet but then again neither has Sterling
Deserves his call-up, in fairness. Our options out wide aren't the best, but he and Albrighton both deserve a chance.
So has Rooney but everyone has else has decided that he's not good enough. Sterling has scored 9,7 and 6 in the Prem in the last 3 seasons and it's not exactly hard to assist that many when your supplying people like Aguero, Silva and De Bruyne. Also he has never provided at international level and was without doubt the worst player at the Euro's
Good to see a balanced squad for a change. 3 wingers in there in Walcott, Sterling & Antonio unlike Hodgson who just stuck strikers on the wing & wondered why he had no width & couldn't create chances
Sterling's just going to get better & better under Guardiola, the signs are already there. By the time the next World Cup comes around I'm convinced he'll be one of the first names in the team & no one will moan
He's also worth 50 million pound and has an immense ego, if he wants to act like a world class footballer he has to perform like one, regardless of age
It's also worth pointing out that Antonio didn't come through one of the countries top academies. He was taken on by Reading at the age of 18 after playing for Tooting and Mitcham from the age of 12. Further proof that there's some absolute gems in the non league waiting for a professional club to give them a chance. Also proof that the likes of Marc Roberts have not necessarily peaked by playing at the level he has. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
