The 3 we're hoping to get done this week according to this on Tykesmad. Things had gone quiet regarding McLaughlin, but allegedly he's turned down a new deal at Fleetwood. The back line is looking complete if we bring in McLaughlin and Lindsay in my opinion, permitting Roberts and Yiadom don't move on. http://www.barnsley-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/reds_line_up_triple_swoop_908927/index.shtml Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
Heard Roberts is definitely off but we'll see. Mclaughin would be a strange one for me after buying McCarthy. Especially when he has been signed as a right back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yiadom is better on the left so I think that Mclaughlin would be an ideal signing, very similar player to James Bree. Whether we get another LB or not depends on the next season plans for Kpekawa & Williams
I think one of yiadom and robo will be off maybe both if the money is right. Getting replacements in early maybe
Lindsey deal is common knowledge but got to agree terms.... as for the other two seems just guess work based on previous links. Also Hecky as said that centre-mid is not a priority and as also dismissed Links to McLachlan in the past.. saying lots of other clubs were in for him... plus we've just signed a right-back last week. Don't seem true to me... but who knows
Just because we brain in several players for one position does not necessarily mean others are leaving (although it seems that Roberts will go) - we do need cover in all positions!
if they sell Roberts and Yiadom i reckon it will be TTFN championship. Look how much we struggled in league one until we sorted out our back four and got them playing together as a unit. Once that clicked and we stopped shipping goals we were a different team. But by the time that happens this season we could be well adrift. I'd love to be proved wrong and don't wanna be negative but this team cannot take losing another 2 of it its best players unless they invest in a proven championship replacement - but then why sell these two!?? That doesn't make any business sense. We should get both on improved contracts now to try and head off the posse at the pass.
