We must have something he finds appealing despite our current standing to still want to come after August's shenanigins, especially as he's been courted by other clubs and started playing in Swansea's First XI. Equally we must rate him very highly to be prepared to go back for him after the way Swansea pratted about last time!
He is perfect for one up front role, but can see him working well with Moore & possibly Bradshaw too if we play 4-4-2, which I'm pretty sure is Hecky's preferred formation for a pressing game. Not sure where it leaves Thiam. He must be 4th choice striker now.
How will Thiam get up to speed by not playing? And how long does it take to get up to speed? He's been here months.
You don’t have to play every minute of every game to get game time. It can take some players over a season to learn the club, league, team mates.
That's the reason he's giving. Bit disappointed with not going to Rangers but Carvahal and himself discussed his options and agreed, he would get more game time with Barnsley at a better standard that would push him, so he signed for us.
I watched Rangers at Ross County last week. It was very poor fodder. Next home game is a Yorkshire derby. Plenty for him to get his teeth into there.
Just watched his video and he’s brilliant at holding up the ball. There’s a bit of the Fjortoft arse about him as well.
I think Thiam still has a lot to prove but I wouldn't like to think we wasted close to 1m on him. Will he come good?
I thought he would, but I'm starting to think that I was wrong. If we hadn't paid a fair bit for his services he may have left. With a run of goals he's the sort of player that could feature, but I don't see he has the work ethic for a Hecky Team.
Thiam will come good. Strange country, strange food, strange surroundings, more difficult opposition than he's been used to. Let's be patient.
