Not even sure if this would be allowed or possible but here goes ... What are people's thoughts on welcoming the players next Friday by lining Grove Street as they arrive? A few thousand of us standing in the street, waving flags/scarfs, sounding horns, giving them a cheer. Like I said, I'm not sure if it would be possible as I'm not really sure what time the players arrive or how they arrive. If they do all come together on a coach then I think it could give the players a real boost and show them how much were behind them. Seen it done with Liverpool, City and Everton and even some of the smaller clubs during covid.
Duff wants it to be just other game as far as the player’s are concerned so I doubt he’d want something like this. I guess so the players dont lose focus on the task in hand. Other good ideas to get Oakwell bouncing would be very much listened to I think
Just like the Plymouth manager when they got to the Papa John's final at Wembley. Didn't work out too well for them! It's a big game, can't pretend it isnt!
To fill the ground 4 sides would be the greatest effort from the town. Let's be fair if we get to Wembley 30 k will go. So why not encourage the Wembley crowd turn up on the Friday to bounce them over the line. Bit like the Wednesday game. That was one of the best nights in a long time.
Bar scarves handed out to supporters, not on seats, kids will nick them. They're fairly cheap to purchase in bulk on the internet for the basic types.
Would only work if the players turn up on the coach, they used to do when they had a pre-match meal at Brooklands years ago.
Anyone know where we could get some of these made quickly? Seem to think Terry Nutkins had looked into the idea of Tarn Towels before?
They can do the Tifo, and hand out thousands of cheap red scarfs and play the music they play after a goal before the game starts.
Hopefully it's the "any other game" during the Derby to Weds period rather than the Lincoln to end of season period.
