When talking about the match highlights from the other night, it got me thinking how hard it used to be, to see any at all on tv. And I'm going back to before Sky sports, and we'd watch out for a crappy 10 second description, on Ytv Calendar on a Monday tea time. Whereas Leeds and Sheff Wensdy would get a full studio discussion on their matches, for about 10 minutes.

I like the brief highlights the clubs do now, with no commentary or descriptions, and especially no pointless garbage background music. They just have the background noise/atmosphere. Although seeing as there were extra highlights with the pens, I thought it was poorly short in length.
Yes I remember those days. I also remember going to Millmoor for the 4-2 win in the 81/2 season, then going back to Cambridge and being gobsmacked that Anglia TV showed extended highlights of the game. MInd you it was one of the best of that season.
Calender yesterday saying next round of the cup had a Yorkshire Derby Wednesday v Leeds , no mention of the other one !
Yeah that's just so typical, and it doesn't surprise me. Its also why I couldn't stand John Helm anymore, with him sucking up to those two clubs.
