. .and seen us play well enough to get something, but leave empty handed. Only two things were familiar today. As usual we looked like we were running in treacle. The obligatory bit bad luck came in their keeper saving from Woodrow without moving a finger. Other than that, we got exactly what we deserved against a good team on the day - nothing. I can't have any complaints today. Wednesday looked like a decent championship team, and their manager set them up properly. Men against boys for me today and a good lesson in all departments for Daniel and the lads.
Resisted the temptation to go thankfully. Sure there’s a curse over us there. I hate going in all honesty but at least bad luck didn’t come into it today by sounds. Let’s move on to next Saturday.
We certainly were mate. I vowed never to go again after that game when Hammill got sent off. Didn’t go last time but have to admit I was all set to go last Monday until the first allocation sold out. Glad I missed that sickening feeling I always get walking out of that dump....
Funnily enough, I wasn't too bothered today. We were easily second best and I can accept that. It's only when we've been done over that it gets to me.
Wednesday looked like a team with a lot of better players than us. So they should too considering money spent and time in this league. Agree no need to over react yet, we looked great last week, poor this week the reality is probably in between
Didn't go to the game but have just watched the "highlights " back on Quest. Looks as though their keeper launched it at every opportunity to bypass midfield, plus slack defending and a careless loss of concentration cost us dear. As we know from past experience, do that against one of your " bogey" teams and invariably you will leave empty handed. Says a lot, when Post match, their fans and sections of the media were lauding Kadeem Harris for a stand out performance. No need to get too despondent. If we are honest with ourselves, we could probably have anticipated today's result. We've got to put that behind us now and concentrate our collective efforts in an attempt to get all three points against Charlton Athletic.
I'd have made that save as well if I'd been stood on the exact same spot. He never saw it never mind saved it. It just bounced off him.
Calling us all six fingered sister shagging inbreeds . It’s time someone pointed out to them that we’re not all Barnsley Owls !!
Only seeing it on telly but if Woodrow had tried placing it, he’s surely got the nous to do that, rather than trying to burst the ball, I think it would have been a goal all day long
Thought it was a sitter. The whole goal was to be had and he hit it straight at the keeper. Should have buried it and at 1-1 at half time we are looking at a different game.
1 win and 2 draws from 16 league games at Hillsborough. Horrific record. I think I may have visited there for the last time.
