Luca Connell had a great game, no doubt, both defensively and attacking.

    But.....

    Better than Jordan Williams?

    Not a chance.

Williams was epic, won every ball, great crosses into box, cut out passes and set attacks going.

I really like Jordan Williams, have done for ages. Offers us pace down the wing so I hope we can keep him fit.

He’s not too popular most of the time but I thought Kitching was really good today. He may not have been tested a whole lot defensively, but I thought he was much better with the ball then he usually is and was also very involved throughout.

Yep, Kitching was a world away from the liability he was on Tuesday.

My MOM was Cadden, particularly 2nd half.

I’d have given it to Williams as well. Connell not a daft selection though he would make my top 3

The match sponsor (DX today) choose the player of the match. Not a club decision.

The media team's player of the match was Jordan Williams, which is why we did him for press duty.

I always presumed its the match sponsor who chooses it?

Williams was incredible yesterday. Barely put a foot wrong, got us up the field time and time again, could have had 3 assists, and was unlucky not to score himself with his chance in the second half. His pace is a real weapon.

So did I but on Tuesday they didn't say who that was, they didn't put a name to those choosing it at all which was odd because they made a big announcement of who it was yesterday

He made a massive difference. He’s one of only 2 players we have with real pace to run at the opposition. The other is Thomas and when they’re both missing we struggle badly.

I thought it was the alcohol free beer brewers they talked to at halftime. Obviously they hadn't been drinking their own brew.

Was it? If that's the case then based on that and the interview at half time I can only conclude they've never even seen a football match before

The match sponsor, like I say. It’s part of their package. Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

I was just confused because I'm sure they didn't actually announce who that was on Tuesday for some reason (probably shame). Thanks for clarifying
