Scores the first of Hull's (thus far) four goals at th'Wegin.

    All Barnsley's fault.

I think he would have done really well under Big Val. Shame.

To be fair, if anyone could've got the best out of him it would've been Val

Val could get the best out of a rusty old vacuum cleaner. In Val we trust :)

Yep true, I think he’s a good player though.

I quite liked Wilks and wanted to see him up top in Struber’s system.

I’m not sure he “wants it” enough to play in our current system and we can’t have anyone not on it. Although as others have said, Val can work wonders.

He'll probably leave Hull City for £20 million to Brentford. I didn't rate him out wide for us and thought he was a ball greedy barstool. However, deployed as a centre forward he's been a revelation for Hull since he's been there.

Seems anybody who doesn’t play in blue and white stripes is a six fingered freak . Especially if the play in red and white and don’t come from Wigum or Sheffield .

In the same fixture last season, Wigan won 8-0, essentially confirming Hull's relegation.

Also, this is Wigan's third 5-0 home defeat in 6 matches.

Wasn't given anywhere near the time needed, so many players underperformed during that period so to get rid so early always seemed like a strange desicion considering how he performed in league 1 the previous season.
