As of 11pm last night Thomson were still flying to Alicante .

Got a text at midnight that our flight was cancelled .

    Thank god

Jet 2 were still flying out at 7am this morning.

Completely wrong that airlines are still flying people out to a locked down area

Yes been in tui shop since 9am and finally got a refund back to card at 11:15.

They were saying our plane had left when it clearly showed cancelled on Doncaster airport website

It is going to be interesting to see what airlines go under, as they have always been a volatile industry. Can't see many of the budgets coping well with this at all. My other half's dad works at a UK airport and has been told to expect redundancies. Not good.

Bloke on telly just suggested there may need to be a number of government bailouts, with the taxpayer picking up the tab for years to come.

The whole travel industry is in real trouble Airlines - Cruise companies Hotels even just tourist attractions etc are all going to take a massive hit this summer - for sure there will need to be some bailing out needed or we will find when the Coronavirus dies down we will have a huge crash in the economy and large spike in unemployment and no way to go on holiday for those still with jobs - or more seriously a knock on effect to trade as well - if the airlines fold air freight will also be badly affected
