I believe West Brom still haven't won at Oakwell since 1947, despite being strong favourites to end that run on a few occasions in recent years. Does anyone else remember that lad coming on the old board ahead of one match, back in 2006 I think it would have been, bricking it because he'd woken up and gone to put £20 on his team to win only to find he'd already put a couple of grand on them when pissed the night before? I'm pretty sure I didn't make this up - I remember advising him to hedge his bet by backing Barnsley and the draw and thus limit his potential losses to about £500. He never came back on after the inevitable draw so I'm guessing he let it ride. Anyway, I don't mind the Baggies but I'd be happy to disappoint another generation of their supporters next week. It's nice to be someone else's bogey team for a change.

We love letting teams break their ducks at Oakwell recently - Burnley and Scunny are two who hadn't won here since I think the 1920s until this decade. Tbf I'd be happy to let West Brom win if it meant we finally beat QPR at their place for the first time in 347 games.
