I'm sure someone will suggest something - but head up to Camden Town. Loads of decent drinking bars up there. Worlds End is good but quite small. Went in a few in and around that area and most will do a decent pint (by Southern beers standards anyway) and most show Sky Sports. Went in the Oxford Arms - again, not bad and all day food. Doubt you'll go far wrong around there.
Some absolutely brilliant breweries in London these days. Brockwell Brewery, Kernel, London Beer Lab, Brixton Brewery, Beavertown just to name a few. Even Camden Brewery and Meantime are still pretty good despite having been taken over by majors recently. Beavertown Gamma Ray is definitely one of the best British beers right now. Amazing stuff.
I don't mind this place https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=e...u6IHPAhUmAsAKHc86A9IQ_AUICSgC&biw=320&bih=529
Won't have the football on in there though I don't think (we own it so it best not!). Really decent pubs with Sky Sports are a bit of a comodity in London to be honest. As naff as it sounds somewhere like O'Neill's on Carnaby Street that allows you to have a pre and post match pint in The Clachan would be ideal and very central. Can then venture down to The Dog and Duck as well if you fancy it. De Hems at Leicester Square wouldn't be a bad shout actually. Great beer range.
Aye, Dog and Duck Soho. Not for the football though. Just for a pint afterwards There's The Green man just off Oxford Street but that's a bit hit and miss. Cheap though!
one of yours? thought it was expensive! i might be in saturday , seeing pete hook at the forum sat night. any plans for world domination of craft lager yet? i want my 1% if so!
Only expensive to keep the cooking lager brigade out! Camden Hells is flying. That'll be all over the country within two years. Start supping it now.
Sell outs! By the time it's all over the country it'll probably fall into the cooking lager category itself.
Hardly sell outs. It'll only fall in to the cooking lager category because that's where beer is heading. What's cool now will be mainstream within five years, which is great news. New brewery site in Enfield looks amazing and they'll stay true to their roots for sure. It isn't the most complex lager anyway and fairly accessible. Cool brand.
Love Gordons. Lost a bit of it's charm over the years but still one of the best places to spend an hour or so when you're in London. Enjoy mate.
You can't sell out much more than literally selling your business to the world's biggest drinks conglomerate.
It isn't a 'sell out' in the way you're referring though. Not in the slightest. Bigger company buys smaller company. Well done smaller company. Congratulations on quadrupling the pension and benefits for your 80 members of staff.
