Favourite album of the last 2 years.

More into jazzy / funky / electronic stuff, but this LP is outstanding. Can only get one track on youtube:

Sundara Karma’s ‘Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect’ is excellent, all killer no filler. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone with ears.

This is all well and good, but we need a new goalkeeper, two attacking midfielders.... :)

National and Big Thief albums both get my vote. Also a big fan of the new Arctic Monkeys album and the Soccer Mommy one.

Alt-J's Relaxer was also one of my faves, as were:

    Father John Misty- Pure Comedy

Marika Hackman - I'm Not Your Man

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - French Press EP (ok so slight cheat there)

DJ Shadow - The Mountain Will Fall (just within the 2 year cut off)

Solastalgia by Missy Higgins that only came out about a month ago. Her mid noughties songs are better, but it's still brilliant. Many of her songs sound different but she's like an Australian folky female solo artist version of Munford and Sons. She's never bothered trying to crack the UK (only been waiting 14 years) but Ed Sheeran was influenced by her growing up and their duet of Perfect that they did whilst she supported the Australia leg of his world tour is better than the Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli versions, although those are good too.

I used to be on the F365 BBS about 15 years ago and got into some great bands etc. from people posting on that.

Always love discovering new music. Listening to Singularity at the moment @icer sounds really good.
