Isn’t it the truth that given Schopp’s present circumstances even lshmael would struggle, no big bulldozer of a striker to hoof upfield to, no half time chance to change half your team so the high press could continue. If we look at the season before last we won the first game and had to wait another 18 games to win the second. Today’s team has little Ariel presence to hold up play or attack the goal, no midfield maestro to create and threaten, no midfield general to command and defend, our defence is no worse than last season other than the opposition have a free hand to attack us with our lack of creation and threat in midfield and upfront. We are where we were before the ‘false’ season. Let’s get on with it, do what we do best, forget the politics and get behind the lads. They need us! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

There was nothing ‘false’ about last season, we thoroughly deserved our place in the play-offs, many teams couldn’t live with us

I get what you’re saying but Schopp has not helped himself with his bizarre team selections and substitutions.
I think folk would’ve been a bit more forgiving if he hadn’t been so stubborn with some players.

No crowds, 5 subs, and unprecedented financial constraints for most clubs in our league. False is perhaps the wrong word, but there’s a lot that was exceptional about the 2020/21 season.

Who was the bulldozer up front before we signed Dike and Morris? Chaplin…

This seems to get lost a lot when talking about last season. We regularly beat all of the teams outside the top six with forward options of Woodrow, Chaplin, Frieser, adeboyejo, and Thomas in the first half of the season.

We did have Mowatt and James to control the midfield and win plenty of second balls though.

I hope in the not too distant future we can play a front three of Oulare, Woodrow and Morris with Iseka in behind. If that doesn't get goals and wins then even those among us still optimistic at staying up will start doubting it.

I thought the football got worse when we got Dike upfront and lost James and started completely bypassing midfield . Couldn’t argue with the results though.

I agree with getting on with it, as we are stuck with an inept manager. What choice have we got? I clapped the lads at full time on Sunday, didn't boo him, but he is out of his depth. Expect us to lose to Bristol. If we lose to Derby we may as well start planning for league one now.

They need a good kick up the arse, we've been more than patient with them. Woodrow should be stripped of the captaincy and it given to someone who's prepared to speak up!

It was the same for everyone wasn’t it. There’s no perhaps about it being a false season. It was simply a season our new manager took the bull by the horns and imposed his game plan with the tools at his disposal, which were largely at the disposal to every manager/coach.

Let's get on with it and get this clown sacked, I'm sick of excuses as to why we have one win in 15 time to get some wins or its the chop for schopp.

Sorry but Schopp has let them get away with a hell of a lot, no discipline, no structure, no cohesiveness, nothing. Yes I want Schopp out but it's about time some of these players took a long hard look in the mirror. It's not time for mollycoddling them but reading them the riot act. They may not want to play for this head coach but the lack of effort from some is obvious. As one example, Brittain has been an utter embarrassment this season.

You can say that Brittain has struggled for form but he never lacks effort & the only thing embarrassing is fans slagging players off who deserve some backing & Brittain desrves our support .

Brittain puts the effort in every game. Daft to say otherwise.

He tanked quite a bit on Sunday until the late flurry. Was surprised by it and how he just let runners go and minimal effort to get back goalside when he'd over committed.

I'd certainly drop him for a game and hope it gives him a kick up the backside. On general performance levels he's been well below last season for energy and end product. I thought he did really well last season and he was a great addition, but this year he's been really poor, and the last year we need is for his effort levels to ebb away too.
