1 hour free parking in a designated area, obviously pick ups and drop offs. 5-10 min walk to departures/arrivals
Pick ups and drop offs aren't free. It's about a fiver just for 10 mins, increases in 10 mins slots IIRC.
It’s free for anyone at the free pickup and drop off as described above and I think it’s free in the main bit if you have an EV whenever I’ve got an Uber from there recently the driver just reads them his ev model and goes out free
Crappest airport in England, although my free advice ....... when you get though security etc ......... don't use the aged, tired food and drink outlets. Go through the gate and the new, fresh and shiny outlets are open. And good luck coming back. 3 flights arrived at same time last month. Took one hour 15 from plane to luggage. 2 Passport desks open. Had to queue next to Luke Ayling and the Boro squad for all that time.
I meant the lower sited short term car park which IS free for an hour. I know about the one next to the terminal which is extortionate for a quick drop off or pick up
Never had a real issue at LBA tbh, been loads and would sooner go there than Manchester any day of the week
Where is the free pickup and dropoff? Never seen it. There's the hour free as described by POR, but it's a fair walk with suitcases.
The free one is as I described and yes, it is a bit of a walk, but it’s only ten minutes or so to walk. It’s sign posted as you drive past the airport. Otherwise your driver has to pay £7 for ten minutes at the little area right next to where the buses pull up. Beyond 10 mins and it goes up steeply
I’m pretty happy with it. It’s about 20 minutes from my house and there’s a Burger King I always have as pre flight tradition. That’s pretty much all I need
I like LBA too. It’s been my closest for years and was especially useful travelling from Harrogate on the special bus for free with my bus pass
We refuse to use Manchester, and have done so for 12 years, ever since they made us wait for 4 hours for our bags because our flight was late in, while others that were on time got theirs in minutes. Birmingham or East Midlands for me, but looking forward to Doncaster opening again, assuming they do flights to places we want to go.
All covered above. I'd hardly call it pickup and dropoff, that is the bit at the front of the airport that you get ripped off just to drive straight through.
It’s a five minute walk. It seems fair to me that it’s free a five minute walk away or you can pay a premium of about the price of a pint of Madri at Oakwell to pull up outside the door.
Used the free drop off on Sunday. Part of the path up to the airport has been relayed so it’s a bit easier than previous, you’re only basically walking 300m further. If you’re coming from the Murgatroyds side go past the £7 drop off entrance and then take the next right and go right at the roundabout. You’ll see the 1 hour bays on the right marked with yellow signs (don’t do through the barrier to the short stay)
