Again away from home any point is a good point but how many years is it since Moore was cashed in for the excel spreadsheet profit margins. How long has our board sat on its backside on done nothing about a mobile target man and instead we sign 37 midfielders. Since the day Moore was banked we have been crying out for a like for like replacement. Did the miracle at Brentford and BFC getting a free championship pass with Wigan’s admin not wake this board up to get a big mobile striker in. Chaplin and the other dwarfs up top are not miracle workers they need help to play off somebody. get a striker in before qpr game otherwise it’s a bottom 3 scrap with the unwashed us and probably Wycombe. we are so powder puff up top and the defending for the millwall header was terrible and Walton should have done much better with it also. Today apart from a wonder strike from mowatt I was more of a threat to the millwall goal whilst sat on my settee 200 miles away from the Den with a glass of wine in my hand and a pair of slippers on than our forward line was. stop counting coppers Dane / Conway and coming out with the usual politicians answers cr*p. Pull your cheque book out and get a mobile target man in before QPR
In his last interview Dane said they were looking at free agents. He said something would happen in the coming week.
No he said something would happen with the manager in the coming week - he didnt say that we would sign a striker - just that we were looking at out of contract strikers but nothing close yet
Win your home games and get a point away and you would probably guarantee a play off place. With so few games played don't let's panic. I feel sure strikers will be brought in.
What would you suggest is the correct time period to replace Moore? Personally I think 36 years is acceptable and if you buy a replacement within 3 years it's a rushed signing
Sorry to be pedantic FR, but Dane actually said they had been looking but would focus on the search for a new striker when the new coach is in place, meaning that the new coach would have a say in what new striker is required. It would be foolish to buy a new striker beforehand is what Dane is implying. I think we will sign a striker shortly when Ismael get's cracking next week and works out what we need.
It's desperately needed - especially if Woodrow is out for a length of time. Hopefully we can replace Moore asap.
Dunno where ive got this from but i thought they had declared they had their feelers out...but it would be january
So really we are well inside the timeframe to replace Shipperley. Seriously though, we need somebody with "presence" up front. (i.e. a big hairy sod to hold the ball up a bit)
I assume you think we do not play QPR until january , cheque books not allowed in football until then
From what I hear Shipperly did t really have much presence up front at all though he was trying his hardest
