Fair play to him. He's very complimentary, but I also feel he's getting his excuses in before a ball is kicked. Game plans are ok if you can keep tight, an early goal usually puts paid to them.
He speaks his mind a little too strongly for his own good and some of the more delicate can't bear any criticism of the club unless it's coming from themselves but he's a proven good manager and I never had much of a problem with him.
I liked Keith Hill until he had the rug taken from beneath his feet. The football we played until January 2012 was some of best I've seen.
I soon realised Flicker only wanted to sign players that he could put a y at the end of their surname
I despise him. Half-chips, half-rice ****. What he says about us now is irrelevant. He delighted in slagging the fanbase and the club when he was here.
Can’t argue with anything that he’s said. I think his biggest problem with us was that he was too honest, he was just been realistic when he’d tell us that we can’t really compete with the big boys in the championship financially but as football fans you want to have dreams & aspirations so it comes across as a bit negative when Hill would repeat it. Such a shame that side got broke up with Vaz Te going, Drinkwater been recalled & Butterfield getting crocked in the space of a month. Would’ve loved to have seen how that season would’ve finished if we’d kept them together
Or Same old hill making sure everyone knows he's forced to shop at Aldi. But expected to perform like a Michelin chef. He's refreshing I give it that. Doesn't always throw out party lines. Bit he undoubtedly had an impossible job at times
I wouldn't say any worse than any others. Do well you keep your job, start losing you get the sack is usually the way. Unless you're hecky, then you get a move to a championship club and get sacked in a more lucrative fashion.
I think ultimately the side that stayed up under Flitcroft & was at the bottom under Hill wasn’t good enough. Footballs a strange game & somehow they stayed up but regular starters like Etuhu, Dawson, McNulty, Wiseman, Kennedy, Done, O’Brien etc weren’t championship quality. Probably a bit like Rotherham under Warnock in that for a short spell you can get them to overachieve but it won’t keep happening unless you get better quality players.
Oh, we're a club doing things right now are we? When he was here we couldn't break a blindfolded leg with two tightropes
