I hope his mum gave some dna before she died, then he can be identified without any doubt. For any of his family still alive I hope it is him then he can be laid to rest, poor little soul.
It must have been horrific and heartbreaking for his Mum but to not say where his body was made it more so.
I hope it is him. Heartbreaking her searching the moors all those years and then dying before she could give him the burial she wanted for him.
I gave up on the justice system in many western countries years ago, for a myriad of reasons. However, Australia is introducing a bill that will prevent murderers from being granted parole, if they do not declare where the bodies are buried. Obviously, the crims will still get out eventually, but at least not early.
Should be nice and simple. If a criminal refuses to tell the authorities where something related to their crime is - whether thats a body, money or anything else really - then they should never be allowed out as they have not been rehabilitated.
It's the same here, you don't get parole unless you show remorse and part of showing remorse is for victims families to have all the information they want and need.
I have no sympathy whatsoever for someone who kills and then disposes of their body, but I would imagine on some occasions they genuinely do not recall exactly where someone was buried and I reckon this was the case with Keith Bennett, especially with it being such a vast area. Any claims he knew were just game playing on his part, in my opinion.
Not so sure about that , the spots they buried their victims had some special meaning to them both , spots they visited regular etc , it’s also strongly rumoured they made love on these spots after the deed . They definitely had photos on these spots and in the case of the other victims other people recognised the spots which was never the case for poor Keith . However there have been cases where prisoners have had to serve their full term for not disclosing the victims and some of them because they were innocent in the first place .
Not certain about this but at one time there couldn't be a murder trial of a suspect unless a body had been found ??
Just yesterday an 80 year old man was convicted of the murder of Renee McCray 40 years ago and of their 4 year old son. And up to now no bodies have been recovered. This has been big news in Scotland for 40 years. Police are now trying to get him to reveal where he got rid of the bodies. I hope he discloses the information for the sake of the family.
Myra Hindley was desperate to be released so I fully believe if she remembered the exact location she would have divulged it. Didn't they take her out to identify places at one point?
Twice I believe and I think through her information the police were able to locate one of the victims.
