If we are forced to resort to the Play-Offs he's given Medical Clearance would you start preparing him now? That's assuming he wants to be involved and tbh I can't see him not wanting to
I think he has been training? I can't really see it happening, but if medical all clear was given it would give us that lift we might need, if we miss out on automatic.
If he doesn't play again this season we can't complain as the club did tell us he's out for the season. But many have said he's training so what would be the point in that if they didn't think he had a outside chance? So if he did turn up on the bench one game it wouldn't be a surprise. He's out for the season, won't play a competitive match until at least August and apparently still training. What's the point if they don't think he's a chance of playing? You might as well have him completely rest up until pre season at the end of June. Instead they have him ticking over, just without contact.
He is resting up if he’s not playing and going through the rigours of first team football. Can’t see why you can’t see the point of a professional sports person who’s able to undertake training and keeping as fit as they possibly can ,not doing that. Most players nowadays keep themselves fit during the summer break.
If he's doing purely "non-contact" fitness stuff as Dreamboy implies then a Sub appearance as early as Blackpool at home if we're still in the Automatic mix wouldn't surprise me.
I would imagine that the George Miler ought to be available by then. I know he is a bit of an unknown quantity but he would at least provide an alternative to come off the bench should it be the play offs for us
Surely his loan runs to the end of Bradford's season? We paid a fee for him in January so I'd imagine when the loan expires he's our player so we can therefore pick him.
Heard an interview before the weekend. He's training with the team because he's a big part of the squad, plus he's a pro so will want to keep himself in shape. Having said that, I agree that the club will still be hoping he can play again sooner than later. Even though Woodrow is a 1 in 2 striker, he goes pretty unnoticed by the opposition compared to Moore who they all fear.
I’m utterly shocked that people think that Miller can play for us this season or becomes available for the play offs, if we end up in them. It’s utter madness and deserves ‘Silly Sausages’ status for all concerned.
The point is that these days pro footballers are athletes. Muscles need to be used regularly and properly maintained. If you want him sat at home watching Jeremy Kyle, fair enough, but don't complain if he comes back in August looking like Mido and unable to get off the ground.
George Miller can’t play for more then two clubs in a single season. He’s already played for two clubs this season, therefore he won’t be able to play for us in the league or the play offs until the 2019/2020 season. Hope this helps everyone.
How’s he played for 2 clubs? He’s been at Bradford from beginning of season and hasn’t turned out for Boro at all has he? I accept he can’t play for us in any play offs but just wanted to point this out that’s all
He hasn't he has only played for Bradford, the reason he would not be able to feature for us in the play offs is the fact we are outside of the transfer window, it's that simple.
Reading through the rules the loan contract can be cancelled at any time. So if both teams agree ( Bradford wouldn’t agree in January) at the end of the season. What’s stopping Barnsley having the rights to play him. If some of you are right then he doesn’t become our player till the window reopens in July. Assuming that’s right Bradford will have to pay his wages till then. ? Confused.
It's not a case of whose player he is it's the registration. So he wouldn't be eligible to play for us during this season in football league games.
