If The Players........

went out together with family, why is Kay being made the scapegoat for the drinking culture going on at our club? Something really doesn't add up.

But certain players out on the piss in Sheffield who make headlines in the Star plus other papers, are rewarded with 2 year contracts.

How long was the drinking ban in place for?? Was it immediate when Davey took over, of for the last xx games of the season??? That could determine whether the 'Sheffield group were in the wrong.

Kay clearly had an attitude problem, and probably failed to adapt to Davey's new methods / rules. The players have had it easy for a number of seasons under previous managers.

Is Kay Barnsley born? Thought he was from Rotherham? He went to Wath Comp?

    Football and Wath Comp?

very rarely seen in the same sentence. Big Rugby union school is wath

I think the last football player to come out of Wath comp was goalkeeper Paul Heald and he left in 85.

anyone know of any since then?

    Very interesting.

    I think it's all a bit pathetic.
If a Manager thinks he can place a drinking ban on his players - then he must be a full time mentalist.
My farming friend on this website has a lovely picture of one of the squad out on the piss during the drinking ban ... but the lad was smart enough to stay out of TARN.

Kay has, quite literally, been head & shoulders above Paul Reid this season.
One gets the boot - the other gets a two year contract.

There's always more to the story than we'll ever know ... but in purely footballing terms - the decision making seems a little bit odd.
