...and I've lost track of the amount of times I've broken into tears. Sometimes tears of sadness, but usually tears of pride and happiness.

Massive thank you to the team that put the film together, I honestly don't think you could have done the club more proud.

Had to chuckle at the little story Fjortoft told about him wanting the entire team to steam into the Liverpool dressing room after the infamous 3-2 loss, and the sight of Stumpy offering half of the opposition out after his sending off. I loved that little nutter!

Just finished watching it too. Absolute quality. And perhaps my overriding feelings are threefold. One, that in all the years of our clubs existence, I was personally lucky enough to have witnessed every game of the promotion season and the PL season in my early 20s, as such all the stories and content resonated loudly. Secondly and moreso, what a fantastic thing to be able to relive over and over and to be able to share with future generations who weren't there to experience it.

And finally.... I bloody love DW even more!

A huge well done to everyone involved. If you ever have a down day, simply think of what you've produced for the club you love, some of its legends and most importantly, the people of our town. You should forever feel a sense of pride.

    Well done.

It arrived on my doormat yesterday and I started watching it in Bed with our lass at 11.30. Yes we had to take the copy of 'Big and Bouncy' out of the DVD player first.
I think the content goes way beyond being a piece just for BFC fans to wallow in the past. Setting the political context of the success of the club was inspired but more than that, it was critical to understand just how much it meant to supporters.

I'm always upset by seeing scenes from the 84/85 strike but the thing I found most moving were those stories of fans who saw the promotion not just in terms of how they felt but how their Fathers/families and all the fans who have watched us over so many years would have felt had they been there to witness the event. Last point. The production shouldn't be there as a reminder of what 'little old Barnsley' achieved but as a rallying call to what we can achieve in the future.

My sincere thanks to all involved.

It’s wonder to me that Stumpy didn’t knuckle Willard just after he had re carded him
And what about the “penalty” at Old Trafford. It was worse than I remember it. Riley should never have been allowed to ref another match

Thanks everyone - really chuffed to read these. It took 18 months and at times it was incredibly hard to fit around work & life for all concerned but I'm incredibly proud of what we all achieved together. Too many people to mention but they all know.

For those who haven't got a copy, it'll be on sale from the club shop from Saturday or online at www.daydream-believers.co.uk

I was quite amused that I was in the footage (just in the crowd at Old Trafford). I was right down at the front, and as the pen was at the opposite end, it wasn't obvious. There was a sky cameraman infront of us, he just turned round and said... "absolute penalty". Only after the event did I see just how much of an absolute penalty it was.

It wasn't just that though. Shearers climb over Arjan at St James' for their winner. Dublins ridiculous dive at Highfield Rd in the dying seconds to deny a well deserved point. And the constant diving of opponents for cheap fouls that we never seemed to get.

Great memories, but theres a big part of me that never wants to get back there. For the single reason I think the treatment would be even worse than it was then.

Just finished watching what a superb film! Brought back some fond memories my 1st season ticket was the 96-97 promotion season at 8 years old so I was fortunate enough to have just made this era. Congrats to all involved with the production you've done yourselves and the town proud this film will be timeless one that will be watched & enjoyed for years to come.

Just finished watching it now. Superb!
My memory is pretty hazy but I too saw all but one home game (Man City) of the promotion season and all games in the premiership.
This brings those memories into focus. I just wish we’d not been so naive at the beginning of the season.
Thank you Liam and Chris for bringing this dream back to reality.
