Although he was clearly signalling the need for either patience or maybe loan player support he definitely wasn’t considering leaving. His last poignant words were “ this is our club”.

Dale Tonge was asked about bringing out of contract players in.He said all options were considered but getting them up to speed was the problem.

I think this was on the cards. I had a feeling after the Radio Sheff managers special that he wasn't comfortable with the clubs plan. We have seen him speak of the need for experience (As Hecky did). In the RS session he was asked about signing a new contract. He simply said he wasn't looking at a new contract yet and wanted to see how the season progressed. I read between the lines and convinced myself i was a conspiracy theorist at that time. I had a feeling a few weeks ago things weren't right. End of transfer window didn't seem a big thing for him and he came across as if we had lost more than we gained through the window. I wrote recently in a thread that he would not be our manager by next season. I can only assume he doesn't buy into the clubs plan has tried to lobby for the changes and now the results are there for all to see he now feels his position is untenable. Im not surprised and given the forum trends of late many people see it the same way and expected something to give. Daniel has been a true professional, given the fans entertaining and successful football and has been a true member of the family. To let him leave so easily and fail to listen to his input is heartbreaking and disappointing. Thanks Daniel.
