Just signed his first pro contract with us I don't have chance to watch the u23 And unfortunately haven't seen him play he seems to be scoring plenty. What's are the views of people who do have chance to go to the u23 games? Just curious as to how good he is, thanks
great news so is Jocob the brother of Jacob and are there any others at home... Jicob, Jucob, Jecob, Jycob.... could have the backbone of a fantastic team here.
Re: great news so is Jocob the brother of Jacob Don't ask Hemsy he will sneer at your lack of knowledge...
Re: great news so is Jocob the brother of Jacob I was going to post about politics, immigration ect but though I do summat abit diffrent and post a football thread.
He scores the tap ins does Jacob Brown but he's got so much more to offer than that. When I talk about the striker I want Barnsley to sign in a couple of years he could be that player. Energy, quick, strong and he's got a great attitude to go with it. He will chase the ball in over the full backs head all day. He got a bad injury last season which meant he was pretty much out the full season. It's great to see him playing really. From Guiseley joined a first-year scholar and he's just got better. *He's a west Yorkie too, so been a nice lad comes natural. Just so that ONE person that doesn't understand a joke, that comment was meant in a fun way.
Thanks for that. We have developed a few defenders the past few years hopefully jacob can be the striker who comes through our ranks and makes a name for himself.
The systems changing from what i can see. I wouldn't expect 90% of the players coming through to have been at the academy since they were 12. We might get some like Jacob Brown that have joined at 16 or even later like Josh Kay that have joined at 18. I wouldn't be worried about the position they play in. Just enjoy them if you get down to watch them play. We are lucky to see the talent we do and have over the last few seasons. With him and the ever impressive James Bree (will me mentioning him upset another?) we are seeing very athletic players come through. They both can run for miles. I'm hoping Tom Clare can develop but he's only a first year with the u18's.
Too many Jacks, Jacobs, Adams, Joshes etc. What we need is more Berts & Ernies down the 'Well... Again, many thanks to Hemsworth Tyke for spotting all the young talent.
