Seems he's doing really well at Burton, fans really love him there. Very happy to see! Edit - sorry if mentioned elsewhere, not seen it
Yes, we'll offer him a contract though just for the compensation (rightly so), but I doubt it'd be a serious contract. Unless of course he absolutely smashes the league and finishes in TOTS Genuinely really pleased for the lad, the stick & abuse he got online when he joined Burton was absolutely cruel. Wish him every success
Out of contract. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/moon-2023/ He is doing well at Burton. Not good enough for us though.
Pleased for him. He was handled atrociously last season. Elevated to Championship level before he was ready, probably as the cheap option after letting Solbauer go and freezing Sibbick out. Then not letting him settle in a position. He was shifted around from left of a back three, right of a back three, full back and centre mid. When he played on the left of a three (which appears to be where he’s playing at Burton according to @Exile ’s thread), he didn’t do too bad. Only to then be shifted again. In all likelihood, lower half of league one is probably his level at the moment, but he should’ve been playing at that level, on loan last season, and we might’ve benefited this season.
Thank you. He's never going to get starts in place of Mads, Kitching or Thomas unless hey get sold or injured. We've others like Cundy and McCarthy currently out who can play there. He's been at Barnsley a fair few seasons now to cement a place as a first team regular. It's not going to happen with us.
I found it quite interesting how he says the academy hasn't been at one with the club since Patrick was here. Begs the question of how that's possible when Dane Murphy put their lass in charge of the academy
Spot on. He was a rabbit in the headlights last season. He got unwarranted stick as there was nobody else to pick on. We should have let him go out on loan and I am sure if we had he would have picked up a few starts this time round. He wasn't a bad player last season. He was a young player in a bad team under 2 terrible managers.
From what I saw he wasn't good enough especially for the championship cost us so many goals and then just kept getting switched positions. Glad he's doing well at Burton abit closer to home for him too.
Glad to see he's doing well. Wasn't up to the championship last season, and in the odd glimpse of him this season, he hasn't shown too much either. Doesn't mean he won't in the future, but is certainly benefitting from a loan spell away. Nothing but good news!
