Millions spent on football, and the highlights show is on tomorrow not today (when the Championship has played). Am I being unreasonable to expect that it should be on tonight as well for our league? Same goes for midweek matches that get missed.
Unreasonable? no. Unrealistic? yes. They're not going to double the production costs by filming 2 days in a row for what is a small amount of viewers, who would watch the day after anyway. By that i mean they're not going to get many (if any) extra viewers by doing it, because the people that watch today (which will be miniscule in comparison to championship viewers) won't watch tomorrow and vice versa, so it's extra money spent for 0 benefit.
