They've won four of their last 47 league games. Losing is a habit for them. We need to make sure it's a habit they don't break.

A city of 1.2m and they couldn't even get 40k in the Premier League.

I think removing St Peters and adding The Likes Of to our name was one of the best things we ever did.

Historically they usually do beat us, especially at Oakwell. Time to get one over them

I've seen us play them six times at Oakwell. We've lost five of those matches. The best result was a 1-1 draw in the 1970/71 season, when John McPhee scored with a first half penalty for us.

Christ! You two must be a hundred years old! What did you think of Tuffnell's goal?

    Sorry, Paul.
We have a better record at Villa Park. There's been two 0-0 draws (1970/71 & 1987/88 seasons) and a 1-0 win during our Premier League season, thanks to Ashley Ward.
    But you already knew that.

Agreed. We should be beating the likes of villa. I say 3-0 and onto the more important but equally easy 3 points against that lot up the M1

Not included in those 47 games is the behind closed doors game which they played against their own reserve team.

    The first team lost 3-0

Watched them play Newcastle on the telly and they look a strong skill full side with a dangerous left winger, will have to be at our best to beat them, same against Newcastle the Tuesday after.

    We lost 3-1 :-(

We've never beaten them at Oakwell. Lost 7 times and drawn once.
    Maybe it's time for a change :)

They can't defend for toffee and their midfield is a shambles, also the goalkeeper is a calamity waiting to happen, however their front 4 looks very intimidating

If we play Watkins and Armstrong up front that based on transfer fees is a forward line of zero cost. Villa could play one worth in the region of 25 million. Shows the gulf being in this league.

We'll have to wait till the end of the season to see how they end up: the gulf not looking that wide for them at the minute.
