Same shape, width from wide midfielders, grafters in the middle of the pitch and a high press. This is the natural evolution of Ismael's style with highly technical players.
I'd av' liked to see us get in behind more n' Woodrow gamble more in between the posts. One thing for sure now is Cole is an ego. He's a focal point n' goalgetter. Morris is the Frank Bruno battering ram and Woodrow drops off. Cole will up the anti we were too soft.
I thought that myself, looked like us at our absolute best. Backed em at 11:1 for a cash out around semis, might leave a bit in though, look like a proper team.
Not sure about that, Chris. I was knocked out by seeing an open game of football. I’d forgotten what that looked like.
I agree, if we could get a good left back in,then we could move to 4-3-3. With a young midfield 3 of Styles, Brittain and Palmer, a back 4 of Williams, Helik, Anderson and 1 other. We have a strong bench too for cover, with the need for 2 more players plus the full back. Italy moved the ball forward very quickly but on the floor.having control of the ball and retaining possession. One of the frustrations of last season was giving possession away. Anyway, it was a nice game to watch, especially with a crowd.
Barnsley is often called the Tuscany of England, similar layout of the land, maybe not the buildings mind or vineyards
