    That at a time when the UK is under the cosh from the pandemic, PPE in short supply but somehow being exported from UK to Europe, and hundreds of people dying every day, whilst potentially infected people are being allowed into the country unchecked, the government has put in place severe restrictions on imports of very popular trees!
    Xylella fastidious is attacking olive trees. So even though we’re somehow going to have to get over this draconian measure, which also includes the restriction of the import of almond, rosemary and oleander shrubs, I think we should all breathe a huge sigh of relief that our government is being so proactive in this matter.

    Bloody hell, where's George Spicer when you really need him most?
    Bet he's sucking the juices off Georgio's olives somewhere in the Med and won't give a monkey's for the plight of the UK olive trade.
