Is Mowatt going to resign?

    Does the fact that Alex Mowatt has yet to sign a new contract with the club an indicator as to the likely hood that he will be leaving? Hence the interest in Whiteman as a replacement. Makes ya wonder..

    his contract is for the rest of the season was what I understand.

    I don't think he's allowed to resign - he's on a fixed term contract.

    As for whether he will re-sign - I doubt it, but in the current climate, who knows.

    My guess is that he and his agent will be looking to see what comes in this summer from other clubs, if anyone is sniffing we will sell him. If he doesn't leave this summer I could see him signing a new deal for at least another year (so I hope anyway)

    Listening to the radio Sheffield clip from today, Struber was asked about it and I kind of got a positive feeling from his answer that Mowatt would be signing a contract extension with us. Of course, I could’ve interpreted it completely wrong but that’s just what I heard and thought.
