Is Austria first division that much better than Jock second division ?

    if Stevie Mallan wasn’t ready for Championship football will Christoph Knasmüllner be ready, or his he a signing for next season.

    The Austrian Bundesliga is a mixed bag as is any second tier European league. However, according to those who follow said league and know their stuff Knassmüllner has been the standout player this season as is the joint top scorer despite operating primarily as a midfielder.

    The issue with Mallan, if I remember rightly, wasn’t the standard that he had previously played but more a case of PH taking time to instil in Mallan the virtues required to succeed at this level.

    Is the Austrian top tier better than the Scottish second tier? I would imagine the Austrian Bundesliga is on a par with the SPL.
