The team need to get to the international break so Ismael can spend a lot of time with the players. It's still early days for him, his tactics and his knowledge of players skills. Always a problem when managers are changed - it upsets whatever stability there is until a new level is attained. If by Xmas the team are playing crap then the buck stops with the manager. Until then cut him and the team some slack. Patience is a virtue at this stage while the set up is in transition.
I think the best 11 available played correctly gets a result tonight. Gone from organised and players knowing their jobs under Murray to total boll ocks in three matches.
We looked better going forward, more structured with and without the ball under Murray. It was individual errors that cost Murray that elusive win. This new guy hasn't got a clue and his record shows that too.
Having Woodrow in the team makes a huge difference. Sadly we have a lot of exceptionally poor forwards who just aren’t good enough or ready for the championship. Our forward line is like starting the game with 8 men.
I’m puzzled as to how Murray has had 8 or 9 games as caretaker, not won a single one and is held up as the man for the job. Ismael wins 2 out of 3 and is clueless. Tonight was sh.it but that’s just barmy.
I think we have 12 games before the transfer window. I would like to think we strengthen were we need it in the window. This could be a difference in us staying up. Another difference is how the current squad cope with those 12 games where a good capturing of points is vital. Val seems to have a plan that works in his early showing. But it only works when we have our best squad available and when our defence keep their concentration for 90-100mins.
