I think we should be celebrating a win tonight. The reason we're not is because of comedic defending. The reds started brightly and again took the lead, but with Derby hardly threatening, we went into full self destruct mode. The warning was there with the free header, but we don't learn. Harmless ball into the box and no one takes control, and then a poor ball out of defence that immediately put Brown under pressure and in it comes again for the penalty. This isn't lack of experience, it's not being good enough, and it cost us the maximum points. We were bright enough, and Derby were pedestrian on the break - we really did gift them a way back into the game, and then the lead. For Derby's individual quality, they weren't all that and we should have taken advantage. I'll take a point though, but I doubt we've turned any corners just yet. Not while we keep defending like we do.
Brown had a mare, but why give it to him in the first place? Why not just clear your lines and regroup?
I'd love to be celebrating a win too. I haven't really got anything to add to this thread other than all things considered I'n mesmerised by the timing.
I just think now everyone knows a fellow Barnsley supporter lost their life tonight people should show more respect than to pick the bones out of something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. I'd gladly swap that last minute equsliser for a persons life any day of the week.
That’s crap and you know it. This is a discussion forum and particularly after a match things will be discussed. The passing of someone at the match tonight is truly sad to hear and my thoughts go out to their loved ones. Don’t you dare try and point score on that one. You truly are a case
I'd just got in from dropping my mate at Wakefield. I didn't know anyone had lost their life. I'm sorry you think I'm being disrespectful. What about all the other threads on the forum? Are they less so?
