I would have swapped Duff for Wilder.

I’d have had Duff stay for as he was the known quantity, but since Duff has gone I’m happy if we can get Wilder through the door.

    Duff in.

I think he was what glued the side together, as much as I’m disappointed he’s gone I really do believe he’s going to the very top. A very talented manager.

Wilders obviously a big name, he’s been there and done it at just about every level. My biggest worry is him coming here and giving it the big I am. That’s not what BFC is about.

    Let’s wait and see.

    Remember Duff

Never won a game from losing positions

Important away games where we didn't turn up.

    Slow start

    No plan b.

Got the substitutions wrong at Wembley

    Certainly not the messiah.

Wilder done it at all levels.

    Great links to the area.

I loved last season and i was gutted when Duff left but excited now.

Surely nobody wanted Duff out did they, and Im sure we were all thinking about a top two challenge with him, for the new season ahead.
He's been slagged off by nearly everybody since then of course, and rightly so.
I just don't believe this about Wilder, thats why I'm taking it with a pinch of salt!.
But I would be pleased if we did hire him.

    Duff.

Without question. The results of the poll speaks for itself.

Not sure it's a comparison you need to worry about. Wilder isn't coming to Barnsley.

I've been saying Wilder as my number one choice ever since Duff seemed set to leave. But ultimately I would have always chosen Duff to stay, as much as I rate Wilder.

We've not had continuity with managers for an awfully long time. That's really what we need. Wilder has a better CV than Duff and has been at a higher level too but Duff was doing a fine job here and will achieve a lot in his career.
