    It's incredible just how stupid some people are. I've watched and listened with total disbelief to some of the tales the emergency services have provided about the morons they have had to rescue. People driving through floods and taking selfies at by the beach in front of crashing waves are just a couple of examples. People who put our emergency services at risk so they can be saved from their own reckless stupidity are a disgrace.

    The ones that topped it for me were the idiot students from Glasgow University who went up Ben Nevis last week during the storms, in their trainers. Apparently had zero chance of surviving the night if the rescue team had not gone up and found them.

    I heard about these idiots on the radio but I thought they were tourists. Either way they are stupid beyond words.

    Ben Nevis in winter wearing trainers and with no proper equipment. What could possibly go wrong.
