He's one of the worst pundits going. So monotone, boring, somehow clueless about the sport he played for nearly 2 decades
Just made some brilliant and pertinent points about how to make women's football more accessible and what the FA are getting wrong. I have a lot of time for him,he speaks well on a lot of topics, not just football.
There was a video I watched of him few months ago when he met his old P.E teacher (think it was?) who encouraged him to become a footballer and helped him in his youth, kept him out of trouble etc. Could see his emotions, how humble he was, took his hat off straight away and just seemed gobsmacked. Was such an endearing moment to see
Just been saying to the wife what a top bloke he is. Always glass half full, wears his heart on his sleeve. Saw him giving advice to that young girl the other day and I thought what an inspiration.
I love Ian Wright, his enthusiasm is absolutely superb. Must admit Fara Williams' voice really grates on me, though she's still miles better than Stephen Warnock. Whoever thought giving him a commentary gig was a good idea should be lobotomized.
