Well, in a way. Darren Moore is one of My idols of football. I mean he wasnt exactly the most technically gifted, but he was solid. He always gave 110% for the Barnsley badge. At the Open day it was only him and Steele who went out of his way to speak with me, the anxious insecure 16 year old me. I dont like Doncaster. I hate Wednesday. But I cant help but think it Will be fantastic for Big daz if he could pull off a great escape.
I get your point. I like Moore too & wish him well in management but I’d prefer Wednesday to get relegated. Same when Hecky went to Leeds, liked him but didn’t want him to do well there
I don't. I want them to finish bottom, go into administration, and for Mester Chan-see-roigh to buy them back, nickle and dime them for about 40 years, racking up relegation after relegation, until he sells them to the descendants of either the former Wigan owners, or the Oystons.
Sorry mate, but you need to have a word with yourself. They should already be a League 1 team bar a set of numpties at the EFL. Down, down I say
Agree with you about Darren Moore being great for Barnsley but when he took the job at Swillsboro, like Danny Wilson, it's hard to wish them well. He can be a great manager at his next club!
Couldn't give a stuff either way. I do think he was an idiot for taking the job in the first place though.
I am sure that all Reds are fond of Moore from his time at Oakwell but he is another one who went for the 20 pieces of silver & dumping Doncaster , a club that had given him the chance to once again prove himself in management , at the time he left they were in a great position but alas its been downhill since , I know loyalty is a thing of the past but I feel he should have seen the season out & see if he could take them up , his stock would have continued to rise & better opportunities would follow , hopefully Wednesday drop & he will realise he did himself no favours
It it’s 30. 30 pieces of silver. or was it pieces of 8? that would have made 240 pieces of summat . Right?
It should have been 30 but Wednesday were scared of breaching FFP again & getting another points deduction so they agreed a deal for 20 pieces of whatever
Every season Wednesday stay up(or even do well), is another season that a cheat has prospered(same for other clubs, too), and I don't think that's right. The only way you stop owners from spunking millions the club does not have(thus making the league an unfair one) is by them failing so they feel it. If enough fail and end up personally out of pocket(like the pricks at Bolton and Bury), others will take notice and not be tempted to do it themselves. That is putting my personal feelings about the club to one side too. We need clubs who operate like Wednesday, Derby, Bolton under prevvious ownership, and even Brentford to fail to try and bring sense back to the financial side of football.
