Given that he told us that NHS was going to get an extra £350 million quid a week or maybe they mean until Brexit when the NHS will get its extra funding as promised.

The '350' million will have to go towards staving off bankruptcy over the next ten years. I work in the nhs and the public would be horrified at the lack of resources we now have. We are being purposely starved of appropriate staffing, leaving wards dangerously unsafe for patients and staff alike. Sadly we will not see '350' million a week, perhaps a year.

Given that it wiil take at least 2 years to get out I don't consider that soon, he might have a new job by then anyway.

I don't think they said they would spend all the money on the NHS anyway.

Plus no anount of money would improve the NHS that much, it's the system that's faulty, it was never meant for the number of people who now use it.

Yer know what, I think that this shower of ***** will purposely run the NHS into the ground & then declare there is no option but to privatize it. IMO of course.

 

This is where the current batch of labour mps ours amongst them are failing the country as a serious opposition.
They should be shouting from the rafters what these Tory bstds are doing to our NHS to earn their sleazy friends a slice of diverted tax payers money.
They should be on marches and every interview they can muster they should be condemning the current situation.
Instead they'll be conniving with each other in attacking Corbyn et al .

Actually, they said it *could* be spent on other things, like the NHS. None of the people making the promise were actually in a position to make any pledges, promises or other such statements.

 

The NHS needs sorting out big time. Too many highly paid Managers, inefficiency, not charging drunkards reporting to A&E, not charging people who have not contributed etc. Etc.

 

They did. Very much so.

 

One of the most efficient health systems in the world. Even with the internal market and competition between trusts instead of collaboration.

Start charging drunks as you call them and that's the foot in the door for an American style NHS.
Anybody who's had a pint of even walked past a pub wl be deemed to have been drunk whether or not.
